Red Fire Lane Curb Painting

We were recently hired for the red fire lane curb painting at a Quick Trip in Phoenix. This was for a brand new store in Phoenix near Peoria Ave. The red curb was not called out on the building plans but was deemed necessary after the fire marshal inspected the building. We completed this just before the store opened. Our usual procedure is to sweep and blow off the curb and scrape off any peeling paint (if it’s a re-paint job).

This was new so we swept and blew it off. We then taped the areas necessary to get a clean look. The red paint we use is made by Ennis Flint. Typical red curb jobs don’t require the red to be this wide or extend out quite this far. However, on this one they wanted it to extend to the end of the concrete pad.

This red curb application should last at least four to five years even under the extreme Arizona sun. It will slowly fade over time, but it will be gradual and it will be uniform. A good number of our re-paint jobs are when the tire marks and scuff marks just begin to look too bad.

Most municipalities require “fire lane no parking” stencils to be painted on the red curb. However, does not always require them as long as there are fire lane signs along the fire lane. Some municipalities require both red curb and fire lane signs, while others just require one, but not both and some require either or.

Importance of Red Curb Painting

The importance of red curb painting for the fire marshal is that it gives them a way to see if there are any fire hydrants on the street. If there is, then they know that it’s a safe place to park the firetruck.

The fire marshal can also tell how many fire hydrants there are on each street so they could check if the street has enough fire hydrants or too many and make sure that they put out all of the fires in the event of an emergency. It also helps them to find where there are possible fire hazards in case one of those places ever does catch on fire, which helps to prevent major disasters from happening.

Red curb painting also called fire hydrant painting, is important for firefighters. It helps them locate the fire hydrants in the dark.

A red hydrant is painted for two reasons: first, it helps firefighters locate the hydrant quickly, and second, it makes the hydrant more visible to drivers, who are less likely to hit them at the night. The colors used for painting a fire hydrant depend on the region and local ordinances. In most areas, color choices are restricted to red, white, or black.

The reason behind this restriction is that any other colors might be confused with other objects at night. For example, green might be mistaken for a traffic light and yellow could be confused with a school bus sign.

In addition to using bright colors, there are other ways of ensuring that fire hydrants stand out at night. One way is by making sure they are properly lit up or painted with reflective paint.

The best location for a hydrant would be a place that is well-lit during the day and well-marked at night. If you live in an area where there are no streetlights during nighttime, you can also make your own street lights at home by installing high power LED lights in front of your house or apartment building

What is Red Curb Painting Used For

Red curb painting is a method for indicating where to park when there is no parking meter. It’s used in cities and towns all over the country, and it’s a proven way to encourage people to pay for parking.

To paint the curb red, of course, paint is required. The paint can be either short-term or long-term paint. Short-term paints usually last two to three weeks, and long-term paints can last up to two years. Both types are required by cities that use red curb painting.

The paint used for red curb painting is usually reflected on traffic signs with white reflective material. This way, drivers can find the signs at night or during the day when there isn’t any sun. This is especially important if drivers are using GPS navigation systems while they’re driving; the reflective material helps them know where they can and cannot park their vehicles.

Red curb painting is a technique used by city planners and urban designers to improve the aesthetics of an area. It is most often used in areas where there are a lot of parked cars, but it can also be used on roadways, bike paths, and pedestrian walkways.

In general, red curb painting is applied in a wide painted stripe down the center of the parking lane. This creates a visual boundary between the lanes in order to make the road more clearly delineated for drivers and for pedestrians.

In addition to this added visual clarity, the bright red color of the paint is meant to draw attention to areas where cars are parked. In some places, this helps reduce congestion and prevent accidents from occurring in areas that might otherwise be missed by drivers.

Where is Red Curb Needed

If there’s ever a red curb involved, that means no stopping or parking.

The reason for the universal red curb designation is that the color red is reserved for emergency vehicles, and even though paramedics might be able to drive around your car if you’re parked improperly, other police officers might not be as lenient. So if you see a big red curb painted in an empty parking lot, it will probably be enforced by security personnel, and you could get ticketed.

Curb painting in parking lots also gives drivers visual clues on where they’re allowed to stop and park. This allows people who are coming into the lot from outside to plan their route by seeing where they can safely pull in.

In places where the flow of cars and foot traffic are both heavy, curbs are painted so that pedestrians know which areas are off-limits to them.

It is needed in all drives and all areas adjacent to parking stalls. Anywhere someone is not supposed to park where it could impede a fire truck, needs to be painted red. Consult your local fire marshal for exact locations on your project.

Concrete Wheel Stops Phoenix AZ

We recently installed 30 concrete wheel stops in Phoenix AZ at an apartment complex that is under construction. It’s located near Broadway Rd. and 7th Avenue. These were ordered and installed to protect one of the outer walls. These are the MAG 150 Style. A typical installation involves measuring the distance off of the wall and then chalking a line so that the concrete wheel stops all line up and are straight. We then put them in place and drive rebar stakes into the pre-formed hole so that they are stable and don’t move anywhere. We can also pour three foot wheel stops, four foot wheel stops and the large 8′ concrete truck wheel stops.

We use a 3500 psi (pounds per square inch) concrete mix. This makes our car stops much stronger than most if not all of the competition. We’ve been manufacturing concrete car stops since 1987 and have installed them all over the state. Moyers Contracting has a very efficient method for installing concrete curb stops on a job. We want to do most of the work before we get to the job. That means form set-up, pouring, finishing, form stripping, stacking, and loading are all done before the job in preparation of the job. Then, when on the job site, the installation of blocks goes much more smoothly and efficiently so we are in and out in a hurry. This makes our clients happy and it makes us happy to have another job completed.

Parking Lot Striping Phoenix AZ

We recently added some parking lot striping in Phoenix AZ to an existing lot. Directional arrows and lane lines were needed at Sky Crossing Elementary School near Deer Valley Rd and 32nd Street. We completed this a few days before school was to begin. The school officials wanted to alter the traffic flow to make it more user friendly and safe for parents dropping off and picking up as well as bus flow. We chalked out all of the lines and arrows before striping and painting to make sure our lines were straight and true. One of the things we are known for is having the straightest and most crisp lines in the industry. We tape off the ends of lines to give a very clean appearance.

Stencil Stop with Stop Bar

We just completed painting some stencil stop with stop bar at Strada Townhomes near Power Rd. and University in Mesa. They already had stop signs, but were in need of stencil stops and stop bar pavement markings so that it was more visible and more evident that vehicles needed to stop. We painted 8′ tall stencil stops with a standard stop bar. We always lay out the locations with chalk lines to line everything up.

Steel Bollards Concrete Filled

We were recently hired to install some 6″ steel bollards concrete filled in Scottsdale, near the Scottsdale mall on Scottsdale Road. This was needed to keep people from backing into the wall of an adjacent business. The original steel bollard was only 4″ in diameter and was only installed 15″ in the ground. It was not installed properly. The steel bollard that we installed was 6″ in diameter and we dug down 36″ to give it a very solid foundation.

Concrete Parking Stops Phoenix

If you need Concrete Parking Stops Phoenix please give us a call. We have been manufacturing pre-cast concrete parking stops since 1987. We have several shapes and sizes. The most common size is the 6-foot concrete size, but we can make 4-foot, 3-foot, and the big truck wheel stops.

Below is a recent job we did in Phoenix where we installed the 6-foot size in a parking garage. These were put down with a two-part epoxy mix. On surface parking lots we can drill the pins into the concrete. However, in parking garages, we always attached them with epoxy.

What are Concrete Parking Stops

Concrete parking stops are the little concrete columns you see at the ends of parking spaces. They’re typically white, and they look like this:

They don’t seem to serve any purpose beyond decoration, but in reality, they’re vital for keeping you safe. If a car were to try to pull into a space that has a concrete parking stop on either side, it would get stuck in the middle due to the way that parking stops are built.

There’s a narrow space where two cars can fit side by side, but since one of them is missing its parking stop on one side, it would get stuck trying to squeeze through. This is obviously very unsafe for anyone who’s behind the wheel of one of those cars.

As such, whenever you’re driving around and you’re looking for a spot to park your car, make sure that there are no concrete parking stops on either side of the space you choose to pull into.

You might think that it makes sense to park so that your vehicle isn’t blocking anyone’s driveway or entranceway—in fact, if there are some parked cars nearby and their drivers aren’t paying attention, it can be easy to accidentally block their path out—but what you’ll find is that doing this will almost always mean that there will

Concrete parking stops are concrete blocks that are used to prevent cars from parking too close to the ends of a parking lot line. Parking too close to the ends can make it difficult for emergency vehicles to enter and exit the lot, and can even cause accidents if someone tries to park there. Parking stops are used in parking lots so that drivers know where they should stop.

Concrete Parking Stop Uses

A concrete parking stop is a fixture that’s part of the curb used to mark off a section of parking space. These are painted orange and are present in most major cities’ residential areas.

The purpose it serves is to avoid confusion over which parking spaces are available for use, but also to avoid traffic accidents by clearly defining the boundaries of each spot. Parking stops are essential for drivers and pedestrians alike to ensure safety in these heavily-trafficked areas, and they can sometimes be an important factor in damage control if an accident does occur.

Parking stops are also one of the most affordable ways to protect your property against damage caused by cars. If your car has been damaged by another driver’s vehicle, it might be covered under your insurance policy, but it can be difficult to prove fault in collisions involving multiple parties.

The presence of a parking stop can make that process much easier. If there’s no sign demarcating the boundary of where your property ends, there’s no way for insurance companies to tell whose fault it is—even if you have footage from a security camera showing the other person’s car driving over your lawn or hitting a fence post, it’s still up for interpretation. Even if there is a concrete parking stop at the edge

Parking stops are a common sight in the city. Small concrete pillars with flat tops and small bumpers attached to either side of their base, they’re designed to prevent cars from encroaching on areas designated for pedestrian use.

The bumpers act as bollards: when hit hard enough, they will pop off. The rest of the stop will remain in place, marking an area that should not be driven on by any vehicle larger than its bumper is tall–1 meter (39 inches).

Parking blocks

Moyers Contracting, Inc. has been manufacturing since 1987 and we have installed thousands around the valley and state. We pour them with a 3500 psi mix so that they are more durable and can take more abuse. We do everything from manufacture to delivery to installation. We can install one on your job or we can install 100 on your job.

Parking blocks have several uses from placing them in parking stalls, to creating a curb line, to making a planter barrier around trees and other landscape or areas that need to be protected.

We can install them on asphalt, concrete or even dirt or decomposed granite. With asphalt installation, we drive rebar pins into the ground to hold them in place. For concrete installation, we drill them, epoxy them or a combination of both methods. The epoxy we use is a two part system that we mix just prior to installation since it only has a small window of workability.

There are two styles of parking blocks in the most common 6′ style. See the pictures above. We have the standard MAG 150 spec that is 6″ tall and we have a five-sided style that is 5″ tall. Both do a great job of staying in place and both have really good durability. The style just depends on your preference.

Let us know if you have any specific questions about our parking blocks or if you need a quote for a job or upcoming project.

Concrete Car Stops

This was a recent job in Phoenix at the Pestmart corporate offices at 19601 N. 27th Ave. Here we were asked to remove and replace and good number of concrete car stops on asphalt. These were our standard 6 foot long and 6 inch tall 3500 psi concrete car stops. These weigh approximately 200 pounds each.

We have a system for doing this so that we are in and out as fast and efficient as we can. Our trailers are set up for transport and easy unloading. We start by removing the old car stops and setting them off to the side. We then unload and set the new ones. After they are set, we place the rebar pins in the pre-formed holes and begin pinning them into place. We use an electric hammer to drive the rebar pins that hold them in place. The next step is to load the old ones and get them ready to be hauled off. We dolly them off the trailer and into position.

We have several different shapes and sizes of concrete car stops. Click here for more info on some of what we carry.

We can deliver, install, and also haul away old ones. Email us with any questions and pictures of your existing ones if you need them removed and replaced – Moyers.contracting@gmail.com.

We also do parking lot striping in Phoenix and surrounding cities. We’re also as sign installation company and can do handicap accessible signs, fire lane signs, stop signs and many other types.
